Are Organic Foods Worth the Cost?

Very simply…

“Yes.”

But allow me to qualify it:

There ARE farms that grow their fruits for example, at standards that exceed those labeled “organic.”  Please remember that the organic label is one designated by a governmental regulatory agency.  And that the standards that apply to “organic” and and do change over time.

But as with most everything relating to governmental regulation, there is a small percentage of “good” being done, while most of the rest of it is abused and/or somehow warped.

This seems to mostly be common knowledge now.  People just tend to “know” this as the nature of government.  (Kinda sad, but I won’t expand further on it).

The point is, the standards that are supposed to be adhered to are at least somewhat strict.  The fruits must pass specific growing standards in order to obtain this label, and the non-organic fruits for example, are simply exposed to far too many pesticides that have far too little research behind them demonstrating their safety over the course of time…years to decades.

Above all however, hopefully common sense dictates the choice:

I certainly don’t need any studies to attempt to prove to me that ingesting any poison over any length of time is worth saving a little money.

My health and well-being are far far far more important to me, and hence minimizing my exposure to toxic pesticides.

I remain shocked at how people are willing to save a little money in exchange for loading toxins into their bodies on a daily basis.

“Money-Money-Money.”
