Saunas are a MUST for Candida/Fungus Reduction:

A significant part of my program focuses on the yeast overgrowth and fungal condition in the body.  The western lifestyle has lead to this condition to such an extent that it is not just rampant, but many alternative researchers believe it is simply commonplace.

Symptoms show up in a huge number of forms, often in unexpected ways like arthritic or tendonitis-type symptoms, brain fog and fatigue, and anxiety attacks.  These are symptoms often considered to have other origins, when often times when the person treats themselves as if they are suffering from a systemic candida infection, symptoms resolve themselves.

In fact, this happens incredibly often.  And for the venturous doctor who is willing to actually research it, they’d find that these kinds of studies are and have been going on all the time, they just have not been aware of it or educated on what is really going on.  In this sense, and it is a shame, there is a huge resistance in the conventional medicine community to even consider systemic candida as a relevant topic even worthy of discussion.  Worse, adequate tests are not available to determine that this is indeed the cause, and the tests that are available, are often not accurate enough regardless.

It is not until the person actually self-treats for a fungal/candida infection, that they discover their symptoms are easing, or being completely eliminated.

No matter what kind of anti-candida protocol you consider, it is my opinion and that of a specialist in treating candida that still-sweating…NOT active sweating…is absolutely crucial to reducing and/or eliminating systemic candida infections.  It is a primary exit route for the little buggers.

You will likely find as I have that the use of the sauna (I prefer a dry sauna) will help all sorts of under-the-skin issues as well, such as embedded pimple-type conditions that may have existed for years…slowly dissolve within just a month or two of near-daily sweating in a sauna.

Still sweating truly is an excellent compliment to any overall detoxification program, and seems to amplify anti-candida programs a great great deal.

Enzymes and Whey Protein; A Great Combo!

A great pre or post-workout protein shake will have both a highly bio-available raw whey protein, like that found at completehealthdallas.com (use my name, facelessfatloss, in the coupon code for a discount) and a little bit of a natural sugar, ideally from a fruit with high enzyme content.

The whey protein is of course the most highly absorbed form of protein there is, and there are no other whey products that compare to Dr. Webster’s listed above.  It is simply clean, pure whey, that comes from grass fed cows that have not been pumped full of antibiotics nor hormones, and has no added enrichments or any of the countless forms of filler-garbage found in every single whey product you’ll find at your local “health” food store.

People have even told me…as I’ve experienced myself…that they CRAVE this form of protein once they’ve had it.

It’s understandable.  Our bodies want and need a clean protein source, and are almost completely unused to receiving such a full-spectrum, whole protein food.  It is nourishment to the T.

When we couple this whole protein source with an enzyme like papain, found in abundance in papaya, it assists the body even more with digesting the protein and breaking the peptide bonds.  In other words, it takes the protein and renders it down to it’s individual amino acids, making the work your body has to do to accomplish the same goal, that much less.

Make no mistake, you’ll gain the benefits of the whey regardless of the addition of the enzymes…because our bodies make enzymes for this purpose.

But as we age, the amount of enzymes we produce declines.  And enzymes have SO many benefits for the body, both in digestion and obstacles like inflammation (I used mega-doses of enzymes back when I herniated my disc the first time to completely resolve it within two weeks…my body was VERY short on the enzymes at the time, and I’ve continued to benefit from them since then in all sorts of areas relating to overall health and fat loss).

One neat shake idea I’ve used on occasion that I really enjoy is a Papaya-Protein shake:

One scoop of raw why protein powder

1 Medium papaya, skinned and seeded

12 oz. spring water

Blend in my Magic Bullet blender.

I like to use the RenewLife DigestMORE Ultra enzymes for meals, but for a shake like this, the regular DigestMORE (which is less in cost) suffices just fine:

Comparing Dumbbells to Barbells

You may notice that with certain exercises, you’re much stronger/weaker using a dumbbell to execute the movement, as compared to a barbell or vice-versa.

There are good reasons for this.

You should always use whichever modality you prefer, above all else as a means of safety first.

But if you have no injury issues, are strong and want to experiment, there are advantages to each.

As a great example of how much these options can differ, we’ll reference the bench press:

Most people will be stronger on their barbell press over using dumbbells for the bench chest press.  Reason is easy to understand; using dumbbells requires more stability, stabilizer muscles, to keep the shoulder joint stable as compared to its barbell counterpart.  It’s almost always the case that the more stabilizers needed to execute the exercise, the more difficult the move will end up being.  Hence, less weight when compared to the barbell.

The push or pull movement will obviously come into play here a great deal, in determining how/when stabilizer muscles are activated.

Generally, a pull movement such as for the lats opposing the chest, it’s often a lot easier to handle a great deal more poundage with a rowing movement using a dumbbell, over the bent-over barbell row.

Being mindful of these things will enable you to best determine when additional poundages can be experimented with, if your goal is to attempt to add more muscle to your frame as part of your overall fat loss plan.

Big Pharma Capitalizes Big Time on Cheap Omega 3’s:

You can go to your local health food store and look for a good quality omega 3 fish oil for about $40 per month supply, watching for toxin levels like mercury and other heavy metals, and you’d be spending money on a valuable supplement that can and likely will improve your health on multiple levels.

Or, you can get a prescription called Lovaza that costs literally ten times more from your physician made by GlaxoSmithKline and help stuff their pockets with more riches than they already take on, and receive the same benefit health-wise, either way.

At least I have not seen any increased benefit from taking the prescrip over the supplement, but I wouldn’t doubt a biased study will be presented at some point favoring the prescription over the supplement, with a bent study that does not adequately cover the real differences and with more skews than most common consumers can readily recognize, prompting a marketing campaign that will further this financial windfall at the cost of the public at large, and…(real cynical here, aren’t I???)….;p

Big phama already has it’s dirty, filthy, smelly, ass-wiping hands all over enough of the supplement industry.

Ease any burden on your insurance company for everyone’s sake, and get a good quality omega 3 oil supporting your local health food store instead.  You will likely notice and feel the benefits, without stuffing the pockets of people who have nothing better to do than re-name an already-available product and re-price it to the loss of the gullible and ignorant.

Not Drinking Alcohol in Social Situations:

I am so used to not drinking alcohol that I don’t give a second thought to any possible “discomfort” when being in social situations and being the only person not consuming alcohol.

If you’re in my program, you know how and why I don’t drink alcohol.  Among other reasons, it is a toxic poison, period.  The liver had to detoxify from its consumption, and you either are going to take in the empty, nutritionless calories understanding you’re doing your body much more of a disservice than service, or you’re not.  All the ideas that claim a little alcohol each day is somehow good for you is a load of bunk.  What little resveritrol benefits derived from red wine are off set by the toxin your liver has to manage as brain cells are killed and the gut is imbalanced via yeast overgrowth.

It’s nothing for me to take a wine glass or one of those martini glasses and fill it with my spring water.  It basically passes as either vodka or wine if you don’t want to draw attention to yourself.

And, it’s rare anyone ever points it out.

At a restaurant recently, everyone around the table was ordering alcoholic drinks.  When it came to me, I just asked about the water selections (sometimes I’m stuck ordering purified water, but many restaurants are catering to spring and artesian water now) and I asked for a separate glass, and the waitress actually high-fived me for being the only person there not drinking.  (lol)

Not drinking has the added bonus of helping control the appetite, making sleep easy, and keeps depression and anxiety almost completely out of my life.  (I feel better now, having not drank for many years, than I did the 20 years previous of drinking.  So much so, that I know I”ll never drink again).

Hamstring Injury: Surgery Helps Recovery.

It’s always tough to decide on whether or not to go under the knife, and accept virtually any kind of surgery due to the complications that can happen either right after, or down the road.

In my program, I have a specific hamstring exercise I like to do, and there are new ones showing how to isolate the hams with large medicine balls, etc.  The latter seem more targeted towards women than men, but those who use the machines, or the extremes such as the dead lift whereby we’re bending over with a barbel (I like to suggest this exercise be reserved for the pro bodybuilders, etc) may be prone to injury if the movement is not performed slowly and with care.

An interesting new development has occurred in the area of hamstring injuries, whereby it has been determined by an Ohio State University study that hamstring injuries had a better chance at healing follwoing surgery, as compared to physical therapy.  The article found in the International Journal of Sports Medicine suggests that patients can literally get all the way back to pre-injury ability, when using this route to recovery.

With most lower back injuries, for instance, the general consensus is to go with physical therapy for as long as possible to help obtain results, over surgery that often requires maintenance after about ten years.  For the record, I have known a good number of people who have had great success with back surgery, without this disadvantage, but apparently stats suggest otherwise.  And I personally chose to use the physical therapy and/or supplement and time route, with great success as well.  My injury was a substantial herniation of the L5-S1, and on two different occasions; the first took three months and specific supplementation, the second time around took about a week with different supplements that dramatically and quickly reduced the inflammation.  Some of this info can be found on my youtube channel and at the Maintenance Motions site.

Aunt Jemima Original Syrup:

The ingredient label as of April 6, 2012 reads:

“Corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, water, cellulose gum, caramel color, salt. sodium benzoate and sorbic acid (preservatives), artificial and natural flavors, sodium hexametaphosphate.”

Hmph.

I didn’t see any maple syrup in there anywhere.

Shit, I don’t the words “Maple Syrup” anywhere on the LABEL.

LOOKS a lot like maple syrup.

But it ain’t.

Not even a lousy 2% worth of the product is maple syrup, like they used to use.

It’s just “syrup.”

Kinda like “cough syrup.”

Except this stuff sounds more like it’ll make me cough AND gag.

I’ll pass this dutchie on the left-hand side.

“Purified” Water Likely Ain’t What ya Think

People often ask me what kind of water I drink, so I’m quick to reply “mostly spring or artesian water.”

It has been a long-term frustrating issue for me, focusing on fluoride more than anything else.

Fluoride is used in drugs like Prozac.  It creates a calming effect on many people, and taken in daily, incrementally, can possibly have many side effects outside of making people docile; it may also be linked to pineal gland issues and slowing of the metabolism, among many others.

We know some certain factors have to be responsible for the massive population-wide weight and fat gain that has ballooned over the past 30 years.  We know what some of these factors are, and I cover them in my program.

Then we have the “filtered water” issue that is used in so many of our food products.  Look on the ingredient label, and you will see this ingredient listed for soups, almond milks, coconut milks, soy milks, sports drinks and soft drinks.

Just what was this filtering process they used, and where was the water sourced from to begin with?

If it is simply a form of municipal tap water, isn’t the water likely fluoridated, and does the filtration process used by the food manufacturer extract the fluoride from the water?

Highly improbable.

Fluoride is used as a drug.  It can also occur naturally in various sources/forms.

My issue is what happens when it is deliberately ADDED to the water supply, to increase the amount we’re exposed to that *otherwise would not occur naturally*.

“Nothing’s wrong with it though, I’m fine, and it prevents tooth decay.”

Does it prevent tooth decay?  What about the studies showing the damage it does to calcium, enamel and dental fluorosis?

And doesn’t it seem like there is an awful, awful lot of very unmotivated…perhaps what people might call “lazy”…people in the western world?

If small on-going doses of a prozac-like substance were in one of the few things we require daily for survival…water…

Wouldn’t that amount to a form of involuntary medication?

Why would we add ANYTHING to the water supply…of all things, to water, a necessity for life?

Should we also add lithium?

Or magnesium?

Or calcium?

Who decides what is good, what is not?

Why aren’t we given the choice to not have it in our water supply if we don’t want it there, if the tax money pays for this as a public service?

People certainly are not choosing to buy fluoridated water at the grocery store any longer.  Has been off the shelves for many years now due to lack of demand.

Or do we have no choice in the matter when it comes right down to it?

Free, in Full, Weight Loss Program 4 Teens

The obesity epidemic is raging out of control with future projections being even worse than they are now.  That means the kids will be growing up and serving as part of those stats that will make western societies obesity issue the largest it has ever been in recorded history.

This need not happen.

Some education, some motivation, some substitutions in food choices and some powerful yet easy-and-quick exercise tactics can completely reverse this trend, and can do so rather easily.

What is being taught about weight control, and the foods that are available to us readily on the store shelves, coupled with less activity than ever before amongst our kids, is causing this problem.  There are some deep-rooted and insidious reasons why our diet in particular is contributing to this issue, whereby kids and their families assume…that just because a food item is available for consumption, it is also safe and ok to eat without consequence.

At least, without any harmful consequence outside of maybe getting a little fat.

It is my contention, and research is now backing me completely on this stance as is common sense, that getting “a little fat” is no longer not harmful.  It is in fact a symptom of a toxic body, and a precondition to disease and illness.

At the very least, and of course the most obvious, is that of type two diabetes, among may other examples.

A condition that I have watched people completely reverse by taking their weight and fat issues seriously.

We know so much more now than we did even a mere five years ago.

My program outlines this easy and needed education for everyone, and is available to teens for free with parental consent.

Subliminal Sex Advertising; A National Gym Chain

If you pay close attention, you can find subliminal references in more areas of advertising than you would believe.  Once you have a good idea of what to look for, these kinds of images seem to almost pop out at you, where you were oblivious to them before.

Now it could of course be the notion that you’re conscious of a new perspective, and are therefore inclined to see things that may not even be there, due to your new sort of “visual bias” towards these ideas.

But sometimes the visual is SO blatant, that everyone else picks up on it clearly once it’s pointed out, and wonders how it could have possibly escaped them before.

For those unfamiliar with the concept, there has been a lot of research put into how visuals in various forms of marketing may impact the subconscious mind.  As one example, it has been demonstrated that almost any kind of phallic symbol…an image that resembles a penis…can invoke a sexual or near-sexual response, regardless of the sexual orientation of the person being “exposed” to the imagery (pun).

This can be such an effective marketing tool…using various kinds of embedded imagery that a viewer may not consciously see, but DOES *sub* consciously see, that it borders on creating a kind of influence over people that may warrant some form of regulation.

The problem is often a matter of proving conclusively that the intention behind the imagery was indeed to influence the person in such a way that they may do something they otherwise would not…such as purchase a product, etc.

When I was studying this material, I was looking everywhere for examples, seeing if I could spot items outside those that had already been pointed out to me in the book I was reading.

And I found one.

A really good one.

SUCH a good one, that as soon as I showed it to others, it stood out like a sore thumb, and from that point forward, no one could look at the logo of this national gym franchise and NOT see what I pointed out to them.

There is no question in my mind, that this was intentional.  Especially considering the nature of what they’re selling.

Look at the logo below and see if you can spot the subliminal imagery.  If you can’t at first, trust me, you will.

And you will never look at that company’s logo in the same way again.
