In my program, I make only brief and passing reference to a technique that has brought me immense states of joy…has added to the quality of my life on such a profound level that it is literally indescribable.
My focus as everyone knows by now is on “Health First.” If we use that approach, an all-encompassing approach, the sexy body that everyone wants follows much more easily.
I have so often wanted to make more than just a passing reference to this technique I reference above. But sometimes this method can be thought of by some people as relating to a religious or spiritual “belief” of sorts, which it most definitely is not, although people can take it there if they choose to.
And I have made a life-long study of religion and spirituality (literally since I was three years old, looking up into the sky and asking what life, God, etc was all about) and it has become a very personal issue for me, one that is not worth discussing simply BECAUSE it is that personal.
But what I CAN share, and so very much want to, is more about how we can accentuate our health HUGELY…via understanding the joy that is found by living in the moment, without thoughts, outside of the endless mind stream.
The modern-day author who is re-explaining this ancient technique has sold millions of books about it over the past 15 years. And he is an excellent teacher, one who can show how this can be so helpful to *everyone*, regardless of beliefs, because it can have *nothing to do with beliefs*…and simply be approached from a mechanical standpoint as a human function of mind.
The author’s name is Eckhart Tolle. Please see his book “The Power of Now” for starters.
As mentioned, it is entirely non-denominational.
It is much more about showing how our mind can mess with us so terribly. How his mind almost took his life, and how a person’s thought stream is responsible for endless anguish in the human species.
It’s ultra-simple, yet ultra-difficult…;)…
Simply turn OFF the mind.
Stop thinking.
Don’t worry, you will NOT lose your cognitive abilities. In practice, you will actually…possibly GREATLY…enhance them.
Be still. Look around you at the items nearby, and do not label or define *anything*. Just BE.
No thoughts. No thinking.
JUST BE.
Love, Happiness, Health and Peace…………..Tim 🙂
