Olympian Diets, Fitness, Bodies, Focus:

I am definitely a big fan of the Olympics.  I look forward to this every two years, enjoying the summer Olympics more, but never missing certain parts of the winter games either.

I’m not a huge sports fan, and never have been.  I’ve followed pro football since I was a kid, as well as men’s/women’s tennis, and gymnastics, since it was long a part of my family.

But the Olympics are much more than a competition to me.  Much much more.

It’s almost a spiritual thing for me, since the main competitors for each person or team are…in my opinion…

…Themselves.

This is not so much a series of games for me, but more a celebration of humanity and individual accomplishment.

About 80 countries that attend out of the 200-plus have never even won any kind of medal, ever.

Tonight, the men’s gymnastics just finished, along with women’s and men’s swimming.  These sports are unquestionably all about the person competing against themselves, to perform their best, to strive for the most optimal physical performance they can manage.

Competitors do “win” along the way, but if the person is not in tip-top form…physically, mentally, spiritually…they will not be where they need to be to produce the best showing.

Hence the competition against themselves, and hence the joy of just witnessing the accomplishment in each game.

I may have a fairly slim and ripped body, as you’ve seen from my videos.

I’m in pretty darn good shape, thanks to my lifestyle.

But make no mistake…

These people, granted most are half…or MORE…(a 17 year old girl swimming right now)…my age ;), have a *much* higher level of conditioning than I do.

Much.

Getting slim and fit is easy.

Living a life built around being the best that you can be is a bit more of a challenge.

But it all ties in together.

And we owe it to ourselves, and to the rest of humanity, to put in the best that we have.

Aluminum-Free Deodorant Roll-On:

I’ve been using Magnesoothe’s products for years now, and have had nothing but great results.  We FINALLY have a roll-on available that I’ve been testing for the past two months, being basically the same product as the Magnecharge spray.

Huge advantage over the damn aluminum-containing options as the grocery store, that have angered me for almost ten years now.  Aluminum and Alzheimers, that’s an association that was more than enough for me to change my products in a hurry.

Even if nothing can be proven conclusively (even though the current existing literature on it is plenty good enough by most people’s standards) we know aluminum is a heavy metal that interferes with the body in a negative way…like lead, mercury, cadmium and arsenic.

Why then, would someone ever CHOOSE to apply a toxic metal to their bodies when there are far healthier options?

On top of this the vast majority of people have a magnesium deficiency.  Up the body’s magnesium, and watch your stress levels go down along with a host of other really pronounced benefits.

“No,” the magnesium roll-on does not work in the same way as the antiperspirants and deodorants we’ve come to know over the past so many decades.  It does require repeat application and does not have antiperspirant qualities.

But I personally do not WANT antiperspirant qualities, since I want my body to excrete what it needs to when and how it needs to, and I’m happy to give my body just a little bit of extra and absorb-able magnesium as an added bonus every few hours.

Has a great spearmint scent that is very pleasing, and blocks odor as well as any decent deodorant, but without all the risks, and with nothing but benefits as far as I can discern.

Why use any other.
