Question about Apple Cider Vinegar and Candida:

HiI am not sure if you will talk about this.  But apple cider vinegar (raw) has helped me tremendously with so many things.  I drink it with water slowly all day.  About a teaspoon with every glass of water I have.  I also use it in my hair and skin as a toner.  Also, home grown wheat grass shots.  Thoughts?

Jennifer

I will NOT talk about it!!  NO WAY!!!

(sorry)…;p

Why do you think I would not talk about anything, ever?

I guess I’m not letting my audience know just how open a book I am.

ACV is in my experience very VERY individualized.  Those with severe and/or chronic yeast/fungal issues do not do well with anything that is fermented, even with the best of the best, ACV.  Wonderful potassium content that is beneficial to many, alkalizing, but in my opinion and that of a respected anti-candida doctor, it needs to be avoided for those with fungus, at least in the initial stages.

If one’s health is in reasonable condition, it seems to serve people excellently.  I’ve used it a bunch, and enjoy the taste so much I can down straight shots of it (but I don’t).

Watch the acidity on the teeth.

Outside of that, have a ball if it’s working for you, and stick with what works!  I would not want to see anyone using much of any other kind of vinegar, and it’s the only one I reference in any of my materials.  I used to have a recipe guide and it was mentioned in there on occasion.

Are Organic Foods Worth the Cost?

Very simply…

“Yes.”

But allow me to qualify it:

There ARE farms that grow their fruits for example, at standards that exceed those labeled “organic.”  Please remember that the organic label is one designated by a governmental regulatory agency.  And that the standards that apply to “organic” and and do change over time.

But as with most everything relating to governmental regulation, there is a small percentage of “good” being done, while most of the rest of it is abused and/or somehow warped.

This seems to mostly be common knowledge now.  People just tend to “know” this as the nature of government.  (Kinda sad, but I won’t expand further on it).

The point is, the standards that are supposed to be adhered to are at least somewhat strict.  The fruits must pass specific growing standards in order to obtain this label, and the non-organic fruits for example, are simply exposed to far too many pesticides that have far too little research behind them demonstrating their safety over the course of time…years to decades.

Above all however, hopefully common sense dictates the choice:

I certainly don’t need any studies to attempt to prove to me that ingesting any poison over any length of time is worth saving a little money.

My health and well-being are far far far more important to me, and hence minimizing my exposure to toxic pesticides.

I remain shocked at how people are willing to save a little money in exchange for loading toxins into their bodies on a daily basis.

“Money-Money-Money.”
